Guest Named SBC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Impressive Performance Earns Guest SBC Honor

St. Joseph's College senior cross country runner, Ryan Guest, was named the Skyline Conference (SBC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday, Sept. 19.

Guest, who hails from Staten Island, N.Y., paced the Golden Eagles to a team victory at the Runnin' Red Devil Invitational, hosted by Division I Rider University.

Strong Start to the Season

Guest placed second overall in a field of 25 competitors on the 5,000-meter course in Lawrenceville, N.J. He crossed the finish line in a time of 15:45, just behind individual winner Ethan DeVincenzo of Wagner College (15:43).

The victory marked Guest's first individual collegiate win and helped the Golden Eagles claim the team title.

Guest's Contributions to the Team

Guest has played a key role in St. Joseph's early success. He has been the Golden Eagles' top finisher in each of the team's first two races.

Head coach Dan Mezzacappa praised Guest's leadership and consistency, saying, "Ryan has been a great leader for us. He works hard, sets a good example, and is always willing to help his teammates."
