Óscar Cardozo Leaves SL Benfica for Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor have signed Paraguayan striker Óscar Cardozo from SL Benfica on a three-year contract.
The 32-year-old scored 17 league goals in 29 appearances for Trabzonspor this season, helping the club finish fifth in the Turkish Super League and qualify for the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League second qualifying round.
Cardozo, who has also played for Newell's Old Boys, Boca Juniors, and Olympiacos, has been capped 90 times by Paraguay and has scored 25 international goals.
Trabzonspor president İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said: "We are delighted to have signed Óscar Cardozo. He is a world-class striker who will bring a lot of experience and quality to our team."
Cardozo is expected to make his Trabzonspor debut in the club's first match of the 2015/16 season, which is against Bursaspor on August 15.
